Abhayam Foundation is one of the Charity Organizations of Pydah family, which is known for its munificence for the last over 130 years. It was established in 2008 with the aim of helping economically weaker sections of society by of offering free short-term entry level skill development programs. Till the year 2014, Abhayam Foundation has successfully given skill development training to more than 800 students in the technical and vocational courses. Not only from Kakinada, but also from various other places in the East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh state, students come to the Foundation, get trained and gain better opportunities. Courses have been designed to impart training to candidates mainly from villages and settlements around towns/city aimed at providing livelihood through employment/self-employment. The Foundation has also got opportunities to train candidates in tie-up with programs of Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and Govt. of India.

Normal duration each course is 3 to 3 1/2 months except Medical Transcription,which is six months.
